Today has been great! I want to thank the moms that have BTDT
who emailed me regarding all the vomiting that Mia has been
doing. Last night I was at my wits end when she projectile
vomited 3 times (after I posted yesterday), one of which was at
Lucy's (serves American food)....we had hoped to eat there again.
I am not sure if they will let us back in!?! I decided to switch
Mia to Lactofree formula and I also started her on pepcid that I
was able to secure from a friend. So far so good! We have been
lucky today and she hasn't had any additional episodes. Praying
both of these changes will make a big improvement!
We started the day by visiting the Guangzhou folk art museum and
doing a little grocery shopping. Our guide Helen is very helpful
and has also been concerned about Mia. After we returned from
our sightseeing we went to dinner with the Huffmans. After
dinner we went to the Mattel playroom for the girls to play.
This brought a welcome relief to my sore arms! Mia refuses to
ride in the stroller and will scream if we try and put her in
it. The first few days were so easy with her and now she has
become prettty high maintenance. I must hold her at all times,
although she will go to Nathan and Lexi for a few minutes at a
time. In the play room she allowed me to put her down. Then she
finally spread her wings a little. Every few minutes she would
still come back to me for a quick kiss and hug and then would
return to playing. It was very nice to be in the play room and
meet other adoptive parents.
Unfortunately, our power cord connector broke yesterday and we
are having to borrow a lap top from friends. I will still try to
post everyday, but may miss a day. We are enjoying our time
here, but looking forward to returning home. It has been
difficult to be away from Westin so long. Once again, thank you
for all your prayers and emails of support. They have been very
comforting during our time away from home. |
