MIA IS ALL
OURS!
Today has been a very busy day. Our day started out with a good
breakfast
then a trip to the Buddhist temple and the jade store. We
learned a lot about the significance of Buddha and Jade to the
Chinese people.
After our sightseeing, we went to McDonalds. It tasted the same
as at home except better because it was a taste from home. After
McDonalds, we went for Mia's swearing-in ceremony at the U.S.
Consulate. This is the ceremony where Mia becomes a U.S.
Citizen. Our adoption is now final in both China and the U.S. We
are just waiting for her visa, which we should receive on
Wednesday.
After the swearing-in ceremony, we went shopping to get dresses
for the girl's red couch picture. We also bought a few
souvenirs. We then went to Lucy's with the Huffmans and on a
short walk on the Pearl River.
Mia has had a good day. Since starting the prevacid and lactose
free formula, I am happy to report there hasn't been any
vomiting. She continues to bond with us more each day. We are so
happy to have her!
We are exhausted from a full day, but elated with the
realization that we will be heading home soon with our new
daughter. Guangzhou is a great city and we are enjoying our time
here. Although, we are really starting to miss Westin. |
