Today
was a very rainy day. Despite the rain, we decided to venture
off the island with our guide Helen to tour the outdoor market
and get an idea of how the Chinese people shop. It was very
interesting. The live animals, roots, and herbs were so
different from what we have at home. The best part of the trip
you can see is the photo of Mia riding in her stroller!!! My
arms have been killing me from carrying her all around.
Hopefully, riding in the stroller wasn't an isolated incident
today and she will continue to ride in the stroller while we are
touring. I might try my hip sling again too. The first time I
tried it she screamed and I haven't tried it since.
After our little outing we returned to the hotel wet, tired, and
hungry. We stayed in and ate lunch at the White Swan. I
previously haven't read anything about the lunch or dinner
buffet here. The lunch buffet was ok, but pricey for those
getting ready to go for your first time. We probably won't eat
lunch here again. After lunch, we went to the playroom for a
while. Mia is exhausted and now taking a much needed nap.
The days have gone by quickly here. Tonight, we are supposed to
go with our guide and the Huffmans to a traditional Chinese
restaurant. Tomorrow, we are hoping to go to the zoo or the
Safari Park if the weather holds out. Mia has now been
vomit-free for 2 days! She seems to be doing much better. Once
